American Reunion is the worst slice of pie yet. All of the jokes are ten years too old and none of the serious dramatic turns amounts to anything. ]]>

After years of unwanted sequels, the popular 90s comedy franchise American Pie has returned to the big screen with all of its original cast, plus two comedy directors by the names of Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg (Harold & Kumar) to help bring the characters home. Unfortunately for Hurwitz and Schlossberg American Reunion is the worst piece of pie yet, not counting the unwatchable straight-to-DVD sequels. Reunion isn’t funny, contains way too much overly dramatic dialogue and feels incredibly long and out of touch with what made the original series kind of work.

The gang is back! Jim (Jason Biggs), Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), Oz (Chris Klein), Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), Vicky (Tara Reid) and Stifler (Seann William Scott) have all went and lived their separate lives, but are now coming back for their belated high school reunion. Not much has changed since Jim first had sexual relations with a pie, aside from Jim and Michelle actually having a child, plus Stifler holding a real job that doesn’t serve french fries.

American Reunion is the return of the 90’s teenage comedy, except it forgot to bring the comedy. There’s something tremendously stupid about Reunion that doesn’t fit in next to the mediocre American Pie and its two sequels. I’m no Pie-lover by any means, but I appreciated the trilogy for what it is, especially for the period in which it takes place in. American Reunion doesn’t refresh the laughter or introduce new gags; it instead takes the cheap way out and tries to ride off of the humor that wasn’t even funny in the first three films.

The characters haven’t progressed at all, which suddenly makes the group of aging adults come off as pathetic, instead of cute and entertaining. There’s nothing funny about a bunch of 30-something adults complaining about working day jobs and paying bills. It was entertaining when they were young adults throwing parties and doing ridiculous things, but it begins to feel kind of creepy when you’re forced to watch one of these adults return a drunken naked girl (who he used to babysit) to her home before her parents find her.

It’s this kind of immature humor that makes the film feel a decade too late. Stuff that was sort of funny in the first three films feels tired and repetitive in Reunion.

I’m not sure how Hurwitz and Schlossberg managed to mess up this badly, especially knowing their previous directorial work, which includes Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, which is hilarious. Reunion is just a flat sequel that moves at a sluggish pace and hits rock bottom once the characters start infusing their current life drama with the film’s story. No one ever watched the original Pie films for dramatic life problems or constant bitching and complaining about getting old. No; we watched the original Pie films for teenage humor, tons of parting and the occasional bare female breast.

American Pie isn’t a cult-classic, but it is a comedy that works on some levels and fails on a few others. American Pie 2 works much better as a straight-forward film, only because it attempts to become a coming-of-age tale, mixed with that raunchy sex humor. American Wedding is the sign of a bad joke gone too far and American Reunion is what happens when you hit rock bottom.

If you absolutely have to watch Reunion because you’re a completest or something, then you’ll be pleased to know that Seann William Scott‘s Stifler has managed to become the high-point of the series, which sort of makes for an all-time low-point for the quality of the series. Scott keeps the laughs coming strong, even when the rest of the entire cast manages to fumble every single line. I credit Scott for trying to keep a straight face while collecting one of the easiest paychecks of his life, but I sure hope he doesn’t come back for the sequel, because we do not need one!

The 1080p video transfer never comes out of its shell. Most of the transfer can be described as soft, but that doesn’t completely cripple detail and color. The balance of the transfer is even, especially for a comedy, but I couldn’t help but to find myself getting bored looking at the flatness of the presentation.

The 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track is mostly a front-heavy track, but it does branch out and mingle with the rear channels. The soundtrack, dialogue and environmental noise all comes in with proportioned detail, which makes for a more than acceptable mix.

Here’s a detailed list of the special features included in the combo pack:

 • Unrated & Theatrical Version: This combo pack offers up both an unrated version as well as the original theatrical version. The differences are minor, with the unrated cut clocking in a full minute longer than the original cut.
 • Audio Commentary: A basic track featuring the two directors of the film. They both offer up the usual balance of impromptu humor and informative filmmaking comments.
 • The “Out of Control” Track: A video commentary with random of the cast popping up to add their own comments about the film.
 • Deleted, Extended, Alternate Scenes and Gag Reel (HD): The basic compilation of extra material. Most of the stuff here isn’t all that funny, but the gag reel does stick out as memorable.
 • The “Reunion” Reunion: Re-Launching the Series (HD): The behind-the-scenes look that gives you cast and crew comments about the forming of the fourth theatrical Pie film.
 • The Best of Biggs: Hangin’ with Jason B (HD): 4 minutes dedicated to Jason Biggs, which is far too much time if you ask me.
 • Lake Bake (HD): A lakeside look at the cast and crew.
 • Dancing with the Oz (HD): A look at Chris Klein‘s character.
 • American Gonad-iators: The Fight Scene (HD): A look at how they filmed the epic battle between the adults and the teens.
 • Jim’s Dad (HD): The under-appreciated savior of the series only gets 3 minutes.
 • Ouch! My Balls! (HD): The title speaks for itself.
 • American Reunion Yearbook (HD): An interactive yearbook with video clips.
 • DVD Copy
 • Digital Copy
 • UltraViolet Digital Copy

One doesn’t expect much from a sequel like American Reunion, which is over a decade too late and unnecessary to boot, but for some reason I was hoping it would at least be an entertaining way to kill an hour and a half. At no point was I expecting something too memorable or classic, but I didn’t expect to flat out hate the film as much as I did. As it stands American Reunion is one of the worst comedies of the year and the worst Pie film yet, because it tries too hard to inject the film with a cold dose of reality, which is never funny and mostly boring. It doesn’t help when the main characters still act as if their 15 yet try and complain about grown up matters. It’s counterproductive and makes you want to pluck out your eyes.

American Reunion is something you’ll want to skip. The Blu-Ray’s video transfer is muddy and sunbaked, while the audio track is a front-loaded and energetic in bursts. The special features don’t help the film become a purchase, but they do provide a couple of harmless features that are mostly surrounded by filler.

This review is based on a copy of the Blu-Ray that we received for reviewing purposes.

Though not a part of the original American Pie trilogy, actress Dania Ramirez managed to find her way into the fourth installment of the series, American Reunion. Playing Selena, a former classmate of Jim’s and Michelle’s friend from band camp, Ramirez proved to be a welcome and exciting addition to an already very entertaining and loveable cast.

To celebrate the release of the film on Blu-Ray and DVD (it hit store shelves this week), we sat down with Ramirez to discuss not only American Reunion, but some of her future projects as well.

Check it out below.

We Got This Covered: How did you get involved in American Reunion, you weren’t part of the original cast so how did you first come on board?

Dania Ramirez: When I was filming Rush in NYC I flew to LA to have a few general meetings. I sat down with Peter Cramer at Universal Studios and spoke about my life and career and being that I’m such a goof, we spoke about how I really wanted to do a comedy next. I think it is always important to showcase your talent in different ways.

A few months after that meeting I got a call from my agent, Carter Cohn, saying I had the offer to be a part of American Reunion. I was so excited too, being that I was a huge fan of the franchise! I cracking up when I went to see the first American Pie back in 1999. It was sweet and funny and I was going to come in and their party! It was very exciting for me.

WGTC: Now, most of the cast already knew each other and were already friends when you came on board, was it weird for you to come into that, did you feel like a bit of an outsider since you weren’t part of the original cast?

DR: You know, I’m kind of used to be being the new kid by now. Being a foreigner, I got a taste of that when I moved to the states. Then in my career, I experienced it going into X-Men: The Last Stand, SopranosEntourage… I think if you have a good attitude and go in with no pressure or expectations, just for a chance to play with all these talented people and do your thing, then it’s always a blast! This, being a comedy was especially fun because the cast was always up for games in between takes and joking around, so I felt very welcomed and very much a part of the family.

WGTC: The film looks like it was a ton of fun to shoot, how was the atmosphere on set, any stories to share or any memorable moments?

DR: Like I said before, it was a blast. We filmed during the summer time in Atlanta so during our off days we got to hang out. Mena and I actually even did a parody video on a weekend off. The whole experience was one of a kind.

WGTC: What was your favorite scene to film and why?

DR: I loved filming the scenes at the lake because everyone was on set for that, including a bunch of young actors. It really felt like all the old characters I ed came to life there. Also Finch and Selena (my character) finally got together there. The location was also to die for!

WGTC: Any word on if there’s going to be another American Pie film and if there is, will you be returning?

DR: I have heard a rumor that there will be but I’m not sure if it’s legit. I’d love to them though, if they invite me in one more time of course!

WGTC: Can you tell us a bit about what to expect from your film Rush?

DR: You can expect a realistic look at the underground world of fixie bike messengers, super cool bike stunts, the great silent character that is NYC, fast pace chases with an a perfect villian (Michael Shannon), a love triangle nightmare for Willie ( Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and of course, me!

The shots are very cool too, especially “bike vision.” David Koepp was brilliant as a director and the cast was superb. We kept it all real as well, not CGI on the stunts, which were performed by professional bikers, or in some cases, the actors themselves.

WGTC: What about your new show, Devious Maids?

DR: I’m really excited to start filming Devious Maids. It’s a loose adaptation of the Mexican Telenovela “Son Las Alegrías del Hogarl” where a murder has happened and the maids (played by Roselyn Sanchez, Judy Reyes, Edy Ganem, Ana Ortiz and myself) are all either trying to hide or protect a secret about it. The show has that Marc Cherry stamp of drama, gossip and humor all rolled into one.

We are all so different and all have our own aspirations and struggles to get through. I’m excited to have a show on the air where there are five
leading roles for Latino/Hispanic women of different backgrounds. I play Rosie Falta, an immigrant woman with a lot of inner strength. She is working her job in the hopes of bringing her son, who she had to leave back in Mexico, into America. She works for a couple in the Hollywood circle, a soap opera actor (Grant Show) and an up and coming actress (Marianna Klaveno), who just had a baby and somehow can’t deal with taking care of him (makes for an interesting/humorous threesome).

I really wanted to play Rosie because I related to her story so deeply being that my parents left me at 6 months old in the Dominican Republic to stay with my grandmother so that they could come to the States and provide for us and eventually bring us to America for a brighter future. My mom worked at a factory and my dad was a cab driver before they moved back to the Dominican.

Leaving your kids is always hard but for some, it’s a necessity and thank god they did because I am where I am today doing what I love to do in America because of it.

Rosie in the same way has a lot of heart. I love how vibrant the set is and the show is no different. It is a show for everyone really and I think people are going to love it.

I’m always optimistic and greatful for every opportunity I get. I’m thankful to Marc Cherry for taking risks and creating roles where we can get the opportunity to showcase our talent! Hopefully, we can capture America, as well as having real Latino/Hispanic following that will let the business know that as a culture, we are ive of our talent.

It is the only way to really make some noise in the business and open more doors so more writers/producers/actors can have a chance to tell other Latin stories. We can be the first of many. I believe it that Devious Maids is the first show to exist where it is our stories being told and played out and not just us coming in as the token Latin girl on a show.

I have a show I am producing with Wilmer Valderrama titled Bad Dad and the lead Latina in that is a lawyer. But, we need the of our people to really make a difference and be allowed to tell all our stories.

That concludes our interview but we’d like to thank Dania very much for talking with us. Be sure to check our American Reunion, now on Blu-Ray and DVD.

Universal Studios will be bringing the fourth installment in the Pie series, titled American Reunion, to Blu-Ray in July.

The entire (yes, I mean literally everyone) Pie gang is back in American Reunion! Harold & Kumar creators Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg step behind the lens for a reunion film like no other. Reunion marks the return of every key player, including Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Alyson Hannigan and many more.

Initial trailers for the film hinted at a bit of 90’s nostalgia, with classic moments brought back to life and the promise for new ones, but the film couldn’t have been any worse. It’s a trite and dumb attempt at jokes that were kind of funny in the 90’s, but especially not funny now. I’ve had my fair share of problems with the series (my reviews for each of the original three on Blu-Ray: American Pie, American Pie 2, American Wedding) but American Reunion is by far the worst Pie film yet.

It swaps out the childish humor in place for… actual drama! That’s right; characters we didn’t care about before are now suddenly faced with all of these problems and challenges with growing up and getting old and we’re suddenly supposed to care!

Maybe it’s just me, because staff reviewer Billy Tatum had a lot to say about the film in his review. Here’s a brief snippet:

American Reunion is of the funniest movies of the year. The filmmakers and cast captured what made the original so great while making you forget the spinoffs. Fans of the original won’t be disappointed.

The Blu-Ray/DVD/UltraViolet Digital Copy combo pack will come with the original theatrical cut as well as an unrated extended cut. The film will be presented in 1080p with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The following special features have been confirmed:

 • Commentary with co-directors/co-writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg on both rated and unrated versions
 • The “Reunion” Reunion: Re-Launching The Series behind-the-scenes featurette
 • Jim’s Dad feature
 • Ouch! My Balls! feature
 • Seven deleted scenes
 • Gag reel
 • Blu-ray exclusives:
 • Out of Control viewing mode with Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, and other cast
 • 4 Behind-the-scenes featurettes
 • American Reunion interactive yearbook
 • Thirteen extended scenes
 • Alternate takes

American Reunion will be available to own on July 10th, 2012.

The Hunger Games made $33.5 million this weekend, putting its domestic total at about $303 million while American Reunion gathered $21.5 million, a respectable amount for the series previously kept alive by straight-to-DVD releases. Lastly, Titanic 3D made $17 million, which is a pretty big chunk of money for a film that almost everyone in America has already seen.

While it’s really no surprise that Hunger Games is making so much money, it really is worth noting how well its done against the Twilight series which is its main “competitor.” Hunger Games was seemingly marketed as the next Twilight, and the filmmakers did their best to establish a Twilight-like love triangle in the movie. The Hunger Games has now grossed more than $300 million in just three weeks, suring the highest-grossing Twilight film, Eclipse, much to the chagrin of Twilight fans.

Perhaps the success of Hunger Games is due to a more diverse appeal, bringing in men and women of a wider age group, than the more specific Twilight demographic of tweenage girls and pre-school Moms. Or – looking at this weekend alone – the demographic of American Reunion: nostalgic college students and men who think they are Stifler.

Now the question is, what will happen next week? The Three Stooges and The Cabin in the Woods will both hit theaters, but I think there’s a good chance that Hunger Games could snag one last winning weekend. The planets would have to align for The Three Stooges to get significant buzz, and Cabin in the Woods would have to transcend trends in the horror industry to hit number one.

Why do you think The Hunger Games sured Twilight so quickly? Will it be number one again next weekend? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

American Reunion is of the funniest movies of the year. The filmmakers and cast captured what made the original so great while making you forget the spinoffs. Fans of the original won't be disappointed. ]]>
<![CDATA[

It’s been my experience that the only people who look forward to reunions are the people who actually jump at the chance to organize them. They seem to have smiles that never end and a flair for the nostalgic, while everyone else just hopes their illegal diet supplement kicks in on time. American Reunion is the only reunion where you won’t have to suck in your gut, which is good, because you’ll be laughing for most of the way.

Reunions are supposed to be every ten years, but you can’t expect a franchise that featured the deflowering of an apple pie to be conventional, can you? There’s a 13 year reunion and the old gang is getting back together, but time hasn’t stood still for our Fantastic Five, which includes Jim (Jason Biggs), Oz (Chris Klein), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), and of course, Stifler (Seann William Scott). Jim is happily married to band camp hottie Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) and with a 2 year old. Oz is a now a low rent ESPN type broadcaster with latent Vanilla Ice tendencies. Kevin is married and a devout metrosexual. Finch is a self-proclaimed adventurer and Stifler is well…Stifler.

No sooner than the guys are assembled do their libidos start to come to life with, of course, comedic circumstances. But this is no longer 1999 and with great erections come great responsibilities, such as when the now grown up girl that Jim used to babysit, Kara (Ali Cobrin), throws her nubile body at him or how the guys help him get a drunken Kara into bed (merely to sleep) before her parents get wise. It’s not the only challenge of keeping one’s fidelity in the film.

Speaking of parents, the two dominant ones in the American Pie franchise are not washed under the rug of nostalgia. Eugene Levy returns as Jim’s dad, complete with thick eyebrows and a ton of awkwardly inappropriate exchanges with his son. He and Stifler’s mom (Jennifer Coolidge) have a meeting of the minds that will leave audiences convinced that the franchise has come full circle.

Like its namesake pie, the film not for everyone, but it’s always been the sweetness that’s separated it from not only its imitators, but the four made-for-video spinoffs that it unfortunately spawned. The gross out gags may…gross out, but American Pie was always more than that. Like Porky’s before it, the spirit of friendship was often lost in the quest for T&A. The boys are still trying to get laid, but in Reunion they also realized that the true money shot is when they all come together…as friends (I got that pun on sale).

Writer-directors Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg put on a new layer of comedic paint on a house that had become a little worn down. They gave us Harold and Kumar, which makes it an even bet to make even the most sequel cynical moviegoers bust a gut at some point. The duo wisely kept to the reunion theme, complete with grown up decisions and possible reunions with first loves. They wisely chose not to pressure the cast into being plastic surgery perfect. The cast has aged gracefully and when it comes to comedy, looks are only skin deep anyway, especially when Stifler is relieving himself in a beverage cooler.

Oddly enough, the thing that keeps American Reunion fresh is the fact that they’re not trying to be 17 again. Ok, maybe Stifler is, but he’s the cautionary tale that you can’t take your eyes off of. Loyal to a fault, but with less filters than a smoke stack.

Although the cast, particularly Seann William Scott, have avoided being typecast over the years, there’s truly no shame in itting that Stifler is a character that everyone wants to punch one minute and hug the next. He’s possibly the most well rounded of the characters because he does lack a filter, and on occasion, a conscience.

Chemistry has always kept the guys together and it’s what keeps the film watchable, despite being nearly two hours in length. American Reunion proves that sequels can be done right if you have fun with nostalgia instead of revelling in it.

I’ll it that the original trilogy still holds up well. They’re not great films, but they’re enjoyable. Once Universal started pumping out sequel after sequel though, I became tired of the series as a whole.

Plus, none of the straight-to-DVD sequels had the original cast , besides Eugene Levy (you can’t blame the guy for an easy paycheck), so I stayed as far away as possible.

The Blu-Rays couldn’t have come at a better time though. Now, you can touch up on the series and re-watch all three films, followed by American Reunion, which actually looks kind of good in nostalgic 90’s way.

Official specs haven’t been released yet, but one would assume 1080p transfers with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio tracks. Universal does mention Movie Cash though, which is great for fans excited for the new film.

The American Pie trilogy will be hitting Blu-Ray on March 13th, 2012.

They’ve done so by spinning of a series of direct to DVD movies that have rendered this series as a less appealing modern Porky’s.

That said, seeing Jason Biggs and Alyson Hannigan as Jim and Michelle again in this new redband trailer does bring back a little bit of the goodwill forged through the three theatrical Pie movies.

Not seen in this redband trailer for American Reunion but also returning to the series are Chris Klein as Oz, Thomas Ian Nicholas as Kevin, Eddie Kaye Thomas as Finch, Tara Reid as Victoria, Seann William Scott as Stifler, Mena Suvari as Heather and Shannon Elizabeth as Nadia.

Not returning this time is the writing and directing team of Chris and Paul Weitz. In their place is a new directing team, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, the team that brought us the Harold and Kumar movies, including November’s A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas.

Speaking of Harold and Kumar, John Cho returns for a cameo in American Reunion. Cho’s character in the original American Pie was the first to utter the acronym MILF on the big screen, thus creating one of the most loathsome cultural memes in history. Jennifer Coolidge also returns as the subject of the acronym. Eugene Levy is back as well as Jim’s ever patient, even-forgiving dad.

As this trailer indicates, Jim will need a little fatherly advice when he tries to explain to his son what happens in this trailer.

American Reunion arrives in theaters on April 6th, 2012.

Collider has revealed the official plot summary for American Reunion and as expected, the film centers around a reunion between our favorite East Great Falls alumni. The summary doesn’t reveal much more than that and it’s awfully vague. Check it out below.

In the comedy American Reunion, all the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago are returning to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn’t and that time and distance can’t break the bonds of friendship. It was summer 1999 when four small-town Michigan boys began a quest to lose their virginity. In the years that have ed, Jim and Michelle married while Kevin and Vicky said goodbye. Oz and Heather grew apart, but Finch still longs for Stifler’s mom. Now these lifelong friends have come home as adults to reminisce about—and get inspired by—the hormonal teens who launched a comedy legend.

Despite the unclear summary, I’m remaining optimistic about American Reunion. Truthfully, I’m just excited to see all these characters back on screen together and I think that alone will make the film worth seeing. These are some of my favorite comedy characters of all time and I’m a huge fan of the American Pie series. ittedly, the recent spinoffs have been pretty crummy but then again, they didn’t feature the original cast.

American Reunion should fare well seeing as the whole gang is back and I’m really hoping that the filmmakers don’t disappoint with this one. It’s been far too long since we’ve seen these characters on screen together and we need a great reunion to remind us of what made the original films so special.

Deadline has confirmed that yet another cast member will be returning to the newest film in the American Pie franchise, American Reunion, Shannon Elizabeth. She'll a cast which is looking pretty good right now. Seann William Scott, Jason Biggs, Eugene Levy, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari, Jennifer Coolidge and Allyson Hannigan have all agreed to return, making this a true reunion. Being one of my favorite comedy series of all time, this is great news. The first three American Pie films were great, and although the spinoffs were rather lame, this one has potential. Especially since the original cast is returning. That was the problem with the spinoffs, aside from maybe one or two people, none of the cast was the same. American Wedding was the last true American Pie film. So to see the whole gang back together again has me very excited.

Sure, most of the cast is washed up and hasn’t done anything notable since, but that doesn’t mean the movie won’t be good. The original gang was great together, all the characters had their moments and they all brought a lot to the film. And plus, it will be nice to see some of these people on the big screen again in a film that’s actually worth seeing.

Look for the film when it hits theatres on April 6th, 2012.

In other news, while this may not be official casting, Variety has Oliver Stone eyeing Blake Lively for Savages. If Lively signs on, she s Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch who are in talks to play the two friends. Lively would play Ophelia, the kidnapped girl. Benicio del Toro is negotiating to play one of the cartel enforcers and Salma Hayek and Uma Thurman have also been eyed for roles

The film is based on a book by Don Winslow and revolves around two friends from Laguna Beach who share the same girlfriend and a thriving business growing and distributing the best-quality pot on the planet. When they resist being muscled by a Mexican drug cartel, the girl is kidnapped and the ransom is every cent they’ve made for the last five years. They agree to pay but hatch an alternate plan to get her back, get revenge, and then get lost.

Lively is also considering the role of Glinda, the Good Witch of the East in Sam Raimi‘s Oz, the Great and Powerful for Disney. But considering the shooting schedules may make her decide on one.

Finally, Variety is reporting that Tom Wilkinson is ing the cast of The Samaritan. The David Weaver directed film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Luke Kirby, and Ruth Negga. The film is described as follows:

After twenty long years in prison, Foley (Jackson) is finally ready to put the grifter’s life behind him. When he falls for an elusive and troubled young woman named Iris (Negga), a new beginning seems within his reach. But his past is not ready to let him go. Ethan (Kirby), the son of his former partner, has the perfect plan and he wants Foley in on it. The con used to be a gentleman’s game — but the rules have changed. Trying to start over, Foley lets his guard down, a luxury it turns out he cannot afford. The harder he tries to escape his past, the deeper he is ensnared in Ethan’s web of secrets and lies, until it is all too clear there can be no turning back

Well, today seems to be my lucky day! Jason Biggs, Eugene Levy and Seann William Scott have signed on for a fourth American Pie film, called American Reunion. Biggs, Levy and Scott all had major roles in the first three films and now that they’re on board, I think some of the other cast may return.

In fact, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge are all in negotiations although none have signed on yet. The only name that’s missing is Alyson Hannigan. While I’d love to see her return, it’s not likely she will. She has moved on from the series and out of all the original cast, has probably become the most successful, with her hit TV show How I Met Your Mother. Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, the guys who created Harold and Kumar, will write and direct.

What do you think? Are you ready for an American Reunion? I sure am!
