‘Half-in, half-out’: Queen Elizabeth II knew Harry and Meghan’s version of royalty ‘was never, ever going to work’

"Her Late Majesty was nobody's fool."

Royal insiders have thrown criticism at Queen Elizabeth II always knew: that the Sussex’s “half-in, half-out” version of royalty would never work.

The video in question was recorded back in 2021 but was only recently posted by Meghan to her Instagram. It shows the Duchess of Sussex twerking and dancing while roughly 40 weeks pregnant. The video led to a great deal of skepticism, with many wondering if the baby bump in the video was actually real or whether it was all part of a crazy conspiracy involving a fake pregnancy.

The Queen doubted Harry and Meghan

After seeing the video palace insiders expressed dismay. According to GB News one source stated, “This is exactly why Queen Elizabeth knew this whole half-in, half-out version of royalty they were lobbying for was never, ever going to work.” They went on to further criticize the couple, claiming they were always “pushing and pushing the envelope to their own professional and financial advantage.”

Another insider also brought up the late Queen Elizabeth in relation to Harry and Meghan’s plans to combine royal life with their independent business ventures. Evidently, Elizabeth had very little faith in her grandson and his wife’s potential: “Her Late Majesty was nobody’s fool and knew that the chances were, it would all end in disaster.”

Ever since the Sussexes stepped away from their royal lives, it hasn’t exactly been unicorns and rainbows. In fact, Markle has struggled to get her lifestyle brand off the ground. Meanwhile, Harry seems to have put all his attention into his recent court case, which he lost.

The video shows the contrast between the Sussexes and the royals

Prince Harry has mentioned reconciliation, particularly with his father, in the past month but it seems like the rift between the two won’t be closing any time soon. The video comes at a particularly significant time as it has supposedly reinforced King Charles’ decision to keep his distance with Harry.

The fact of the matter is, Harry and Meghan’s lifestyle is simply incompatible with royal life. The Queen knew that there would be no middle ground for the Sussexes, and it appears she was right.

This will no doubt come as a blow to Prince Harry, who does seem to genuinely want to reconnect with his father. Unfortunately, it seems the royal family is content to keep their distance for now. Statements from sources indicate that there is not a great deal of trust for Harry and Meghan. Their public stunts can often be pretty damaging to the firm, and the video shared last week is the perfect example of that.
